For the first time ever, Palestinian resistance fighters have succeeded Sunday in unleashing a homemade missile on the Israeli settlement of Nitivot that is located 20 km away from the Gaza Strip.
The incident has apparently worried the Israeli occupation government and its military institution being the first time for a Palestinian home-made missile to reach as far as that distance and accurately hit the target.
Israeli occupation police alleged that the rocket was a Russian-made Grad missile and not a locally-made Palestinian rocket, alleging that the assault caused no damage in the settlement.
The Israeli military institution, however, took the matter very seriously, and described the Palestinian retaliation as "serious escalation", affirming that the attack had coincided with another Palestinian mortar attack on IOF troops’ positions at Kerem Shalom crossing, southeast of Gaza Strip.
